Padlocks

A Call Away Locksmith Service is a padlock service center.  Padlocks are the most common type of locks used for storage areas,  lockout tags, school or work lockers, fence gates, or any other area where entry or deadbolt locks are not an option.  There are several brands of locks sold in the US, the most popular are Master, American, and Abus.  Schlage, Yale, and  Corbin Russwin also make padlocks available in their respective keyways.  Master, American, and Abus all come in rekeyable models and all come in popular rekeyable keyways such as Schlage, Kwikset, Yale, and small format interchangeable cores such as Best, Falcon, and Schlage.  All these brands have different length shackles that can be changed out to suit your specific needs.  Most can be made to retain your key until the padlock is in the locked position so the possibility of losing your key is reduced.

Master padlocks come in standard and commercial grade.  View the video above to see the strength of the commercial series.

American padlocks have a series that have aluminum bodies in 8 different colors.  These can be used on lockout tags to prevent startup when someone may still be working on the equipment.  The different colors may represent different divisions within the maintenance department.

Abus padlocks are extremely good locks providing a wide variety of residential and commercial keyways.
